Last updated July 2019

Valora Technologies is committed to providing our clients with exceptional service. As providing this service involves the collection of client, corporate or personal data, protecting client information is one of our highest priorities.

This privacy policy (“Policy”) describes how we collect and use personal data. “Personal data” means information relating to you or another identifiable individual. The Policy applies to use of our website and services (collectively “Services”). If you do not agree with this Policy, do not use our products and Services, or provide us with your personal data.

Additional privacy information or updates to this Policy may be provided by notice to you. If there is a conflict between such notices and this Policy, the notices shall apply first.

What information do we collect?

Information you provide directly to us. When you use our Services, we may ask for information relating to you. We also maintain records of your consents, preferences and settings relating to permissions for marketing and sharing of personal data.

Use of products and services. When you access our Services online, our web servers automatically create records of your visit, pages visited, the links and features used or the content viewed or requested. We may collect device information, product and service activations, including log information, and information stored in cookies on your device. Location-based information, your use of third-party services, and how you interact with content offered through our Services, such as the pages you visited, may also be collected.

Information from third-party sources. We may receive information about you from publicly and commercially available sources (as permitted by law). We also may receive information about you from third-party social networking services when you choose to connect with those services.

You can “opt out” and choose not to provide us with certain types of information. We do not use this information to identify you personally without your consent.

Where your consent is required, we will ask for you to “opt in” to the data send.

Why do we collect personal data? We may use information we collect for various purposes, including the following examples:

  • to communicate with you;
  • to provide information about our products and Services;
  • to ensure the functionality and security of our products and Services;
  • to provide customized content;
  • to provide personalized and more relevant advertising and direct marketing;
  • to understand the way people use our information, products and Services;
  • to comply with our legal obligations;
  • such other purposes with your consent.

To whom might we disclose information?

We will not disclose, sell, lease, rent or otherwise disclose your personal data to third parties for their own independent marketing or business purposes without your consent.

We may disclose your information to the following entities: affiliates, authorized resellers, business partners, service providers, other parties when required by law, or as necessary to protect our Services in connection with transactions and other parties.

We may conduct joint marketing and other communications with our partners. These authorized third parties are not permitted to use your personal data for any other purposes. We require them to act consistently with this Policy and to use appropriate security measures to protect your personal data.

We may be obligated by mandatory law to disclose your personal data to certain regulatory authorities, courts or other such third parties.

What steps are taken to protect your information?

Privacy and security are key considerations in the creation and delivery of our Services to you. We have put in place reasonable physical and technical measures to safeguard the information we collect and to delete incorrect or unnecessary personal data. We enforce our internal privacy policies and guidelines.

Cookies

A cookie is a small text file that a website saves on your computer or mobile device when you visit the site. It enables the website to remember your actions and preferences (such as login, language, font size and other preferences) over a period of time, so you don’t have to keep re-entering them whenever you come back to the site or browse from one page to another. Valora Technologies uses cookies to better improve the website experience for new and returning users.

We use third party site analytics and marketing services, such as Google Analytics and Hubspot. The services need to place cookies to enable their services. The collected information is used for site improvement and measuring purposes and includes for example how you reached our website and interacted with the pages. Service providers transfer and store the information on their servers.

Google Analytics may disclose the information to third parties if they have third parties as data processors or in case demanded by law. Google declares that it does not store any personal information and is therefore unable to identify individuals. Google Analytics uses mostly first party cookies for providing the analytics services. You can manage your Google preferences by visiting www.google.com/settings/ads.

Hubspot is a marketing automation system, which helps us automate our marketing measures to identify and communicate with potential customers. Hubspot uses first party cookies: it allows us to gain more insight into our users’ activities on our website. We do not use cookies to monitor users’ actions elsewhere than on our own website. We do not collect information that directly identifies you unless you voluntarily submit us such information. You can learn more about Hubspot’s marketing practices by visiting https://legal.hubspot.com/privacy-policy

How do I control cookies and site permission settings?

You can delete all cookies that are already on your computer, and you can set most browsers to prevent them from being placed. If you do this, however, you may have to manually adjust some preferences every time you visit our site, and some services and functionalities may not work.

You can configure your browser to accept all cookies, reject all cookies, or notify you when a cookie is sent. Different browsers use different settings to disable cookies.

Social network plugins

We may enable you to share certain materials on our Services with others through social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn and others. These third parties may collect or receive certain information about your use of our Services, through the use of cookies, beacons and similar technologies. We have no influence on the data gathered by the plugin. Even if you are not logged in to your social network account, it may be possible that the plugin transmits your IP address to social network operators. If you do not want these networking sites to connect the data concerning your use of our Services, then please log off the social network before using our Services and clear any personable identifiable information from your browser, computer or mobile device first.

What are your rights?

You have a right to obtain the personal data we hold about you and to keep it. You have a right to ensure it is correct, and to have incomplete, incorrect, unnecessary or outdated personal data deleted or updated. You are entitled to “opt out” from information sends and subscriptions, and to request us that we stop processing your data. If you wish us to delete your data or stop processing your information, please contact us, but be advised that this may adversely interfere with the functions of our site and provision of Services to you.
